Hello parents and carers 

Welcome to Year 1

Well done to the children in both Magnolia Class and Holly Class who have all settled back into school brilliantly!  

This is going to a very busy year in year 1 with lots of fun and exciting learning! This year we will focus on developing our skills in English, Maths, Reading, Handwriting and Phonics as well as some very fun and interesting projects. 

Our projects this term will cover some really exciting things. In Geography we will be learning about ourselves and where we come from and where we live. Identifying the different continents and oceans and locating them on a map. In Science we will be looking at the different types of weather that we can associate with different seasons. Identifying the changes that happen in the four seasons. 

Below, you will find the Curriculum Letter and Homework Grid for this term. There are also some other resources that will help to support you at home. This information has also been added to the Google Classroom.

Please can you also kindly ensure your child has their reading record in their book bag every day.
